Dakota Climbing Co has been a constant in my summers for the last three years—a crew that brings a ton of energy to every outing while staying dialed in on safety. Photographing climbing is its own challenge, and most angles from the ground just don’t do the sport justice. From the beginning, we worked together on one goal: get me up the wall so I could actually capture what it feels like to climb.

That started with me building enough strength and endurance to climb parallel routes with the group, and eventually evolved into using the right gear systems to ascend efficiently and safely. Now I can get to the height I need regardless of the route, which means the images finally reflect the focus, movement, and excitement that make these days what they are.
